So long, Larry.
Thanks for making it possible, and for bucking the machine you inadvertently created.
Why should the devil have all the good music?

A couple of months ago, I had a dream that Kay & I decided to start up a home group again. We had only told a few people about our first get-together, but more and more people kept trickling in, until we had a dozen people. I was amazed. One mysterious person even came by to say, "I can't stay tonight, but I wanted to come by to encourage you." How did people find out about the meeting, I asked. The mysterious person said, "Word got out, because this is a big deal."
Tonight, for our first get-together, I was expecting only a handful of people. But people kept trickling in. I looked around our circle, and counted a dozen people besides myself.
OMG. I had to read this aloud to Kay for full effect. Dear Mr. Thatcher…

This is so last week, but for those who haven't seen it, I thought I should pass along the link to TIME magazine's interview with N.T. Wright: Christians Wrong About Heaven, Says Bishop
I know apostolic people. Also prophetic, and evangelistic. We tack on "ic" to mean, "Well, that person has a gifting in that area, but not of giant-sized 'biblical' proportions."
But what if the person in the office next to yours, or the cubicle next door, was a genuine, modern-day apostle? Would you even know? Would any local churches know?
Follow the link, my friends. I gathered my family and read it aloud to them this evening. But it was difficult. I kept choking up. Is this what happens when people actually live what the Bible says? What would it look like if I started following Jesus -- I mean, really following?
